Custom Ear Monitors for Musicians
We can take a mold of your ear and build custom-fit ear monitors to be used on stage.
Technology at Virtue Hearing Aid Center
Virtue Hearing carries hearing aids from all major manufacturers, including Signia, Starkey, ReSound, Oticon, Widex, and Phonak. This enables us to pick the right hearing aid for your lifestyle and your hearing loss, rather than being limited to a particular brand.
The Right Hearing Aid for You
Finding the right hearing aid depends on your hearing loss and your lifestyle. There are so many different brands, styles, and level of technology out there that we’re sure to find one that suits your needs as well as your budget.
The cost of hearing aids is largely dependent on the level of technology you need. These days, all hearing aids provide clear, crisp sound. If you tend to stay in quiet environments and want hearing aids to help you speak with friends and family, you probably only need a simpler level of technology.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, highly advanced hearing aids offer Bluetooth connectivity to your phone, your television, and other devices. Many of these technologically sophisticated hearing aids can be programmed on-the-fly with a phone app or from a distance by our office. These hearing aids are a good fit for people who stay very active, present in meetings at work, attend sporting events or concerts, or need a lot out of their hearing aids.
The style of your hearing aids won’t have a major impact on the price, so you can pick the one that is most comfortable and works best for your particular hearing loss. We tend to find that the receiver-in-the-canal style is most comfortable for the largest number of people, but others may suit you for different reasons.

Adjusting to Hearing Aids
With some styles of hearing aids, you may not have trouble at all adjusting. However, if you find that you’re having a harder time, start by wearing them for an hour a day and slowly increase how long you wear them. The more you wear them, the more you’re going to get used to them.
When you start wearing glasses, you can always feel them on your face, but then you eventually don’t even know they’re there; the same thing happens with the sensation of hearing aids in your ears. New hearing aids are very light, very slim, and much more comfortable than people might expect.
